SHEL WAGNER RASCH

Shel Wagner Rasch is a Los Angeles-based choreographer and Contact improvisation dancer, performer and teacher. Her Contact Improvisation scores and choreographic works have been well received in New York City, San Francisco, Berkeley, New Orleans, Portland, San Diego, Amsterdam and extensively throughout Los Angeles. Her work has been commissioned by Pacific Dance Ensemble, Dance Kaleidoscope, Loyola Marymount University and the Skirball Cultural Center among others. She is a recipient of the Lester Horton Award for Excellence in Choreography. Shel has taught Contact Improvisation at the West Coast Contact Improv Festival 8 of the last 10 years and in 2014 was the featured guest teacher at the GLACIER Festival in Detroit. She teaches at UCLA and co-runs a Contact Improvisation Jam in Pasadena, Ca. Shel has a private practice as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Alexander Technique teacher and Pilates instructor in Los Angeles.
