PHILIP SZPORER

Philip Szporer is a Montréal-based freelance writer, filmmaker and lecturer. Recipient of the 2010 Jacqueline Lemieux Prize, Scholar-in-Residence at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and a former Pew Fellow at UCLA, Philip teaches at Concordia University, and contributes to The Dance Current, Dance Magazine, and Tanz. In 2001, Philip along with Marlene Millar co-founded the award-winning arts film production company Mouvement Perpétuel. They co-direct and produce documentaries and short dance films seen widely at festivals and at major events such as the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the 2010 Shanghai Expo, and a UNESCO tour of Latin America.
