Marlene Millar is a Canadian film director, producer, editor and instructor. Her practice in documentary, dance-media and performance-based production has been supported by the Quebec and Canadian arts councils and the National Film Board of Canada. In 1999 Marlene was awarded a Dance Media Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, and in 2001 Marlene and long time collaborator Philip Szporer founded Mouvement Perpétuel, an award winning production company specializing in arts programming. Marlene mentors emerging filmmakers across Canada, speaks regularly at international events and has led filmmaking workshops in Burkina Faso, Vienna, Montreal, Helsinki and Nunavut.
